return case stuck at in transit, item delivered

hi 
my return case is stuck at "in transit" (step 2 of returning an item) even though the item was delivered to the seller on the 25th of august. 
i only updated the tracking info on the 25th so on the day my item was delivered to them and it;s been stuck at "in transit"  since.
any advice?
