retuns

Morning all 🙂

I have a customer who wishes to retun an item as changed mind .... even though my policy is for faulty goods only! I don't mind accepting returns, but my question is this .... Who pays return shipping? Every time i've accepted a return, i've had to pay? Why??? It does state buyer to pay return postage (i've already spent money posting the item out in the first place free P&P)!

Waiting to see if the item has been used first as I won't be able to resell if it has!

Advise please 🙂 Thanks

Please note that the customer has gone through ebay for return not to me directly, stating "Doesn't fit" Asked in what way it didn't fit ..... "Well it's not that it doesn't fit, bough for my niece and it's not what she was after"!!!

So the only options ebay are giving me are the usual:

Refund in full (Buyer keeps)

Offer part refund (one chance only)

Accept return (I've always had to pay return postage)????????

Ask seller a question (Which I have)! Awaiting reply

So if I now do nothing, ebay will refund in full and they keep the item anyway! Can't wait till my website is up and running then ebay can shove it! 😛

You can refuse the return, as you are not obliged to accept it for "change of mind".

The only time you should have to pay the return postage is if the item is faulty, damaged or misdescribed.

If you decide to accept this return, tell the buyer you will refund when the item has been returned to you, and you have checked that it's in the same condition as when you sent it.
