reserve bidding

If I bid way over a reserve price will it revert to the reserve or stay at my bid,  Thank you.

If you enter a "way over bid" it will only go to the reserve and only inrease when another bidder joins in.

A problem can occur if say you think the item is worth £80 but  enter a bid of £150 and another bidder has the same idea but bids £140 in the last seconds you would end up paying over the odds for the item.

If you are the only bidder the bid will go to the reserve and only rise if a second or more bids are received. You cannot bid against yourself.
