Hi, I've just refunded a customer for an item not received. So now I'm out of pocket, due to an error by the Royal Mail.
Being a very small business, how is this fair. I can prove I posted it but I can't prove that the customer didn't receive it.
Paying extra for tracking, out ways selling product as buyers don't want to pay postage.
If anything they expect free postage which I just can't do financially
Thanks

You must upgrade to business seller before ebay force you to.

As a selller, you ought to have made yourself familiar with eBay's money back guarantee to buyers. You whould have known that sellers have to prove delivery, not just that it was posted. You can find it here: https://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebay-money-back-guarantee/. Better still, read the full terms and conditions here: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html
you now have to claim from Royal Mail using your proof of postage
