refund not processed

hi

I have returned a damaged item and its been over 10 days since the seller started to issue my refund BUT I STILL DO NOT HAVE IT .

I can not get in touch with anyone AT EBAY OR PAYPAL I can not escalate the issue to anyone because  all the info i am getting from ebay and paypal is that the refund is being processed.

ITS BEEN 10 DAYS i was told that i would recieve full refund by the 8th april  and its now the 10th of april and no message no help no info

How did you pay?

Refunds go back to original payment source.

Paying with a debit card can take up to 7 days to appear in your bank account.

Credit card payment?  Up to 30 days to appear in that card account.

hi I paid through paypal and was messaged on the 30th of march that I was being refunded. And that the refund would be processed by the 8th of April and its still being processed now when I have checked on the status of the refund. I have never had an issue like that before THE seller was being difficult in dealing with this before accepting the return for the item I bought, the item arrived broken I sent back item at end of March and 2 days later received message that they were going to refund and now the refund has been processing for over 10 days AND I CAN NOT ESCALATE THIS WITH EBAY OR PAYPAL because all I am being told is they are processing the refund even though its taking more time than the said it would

Did you open a case for item not as described in the Resolution Centre? If the seller does not refund within 3 days, you escalate the case, and eBay step in and force the refund. The refund then goes back to original payment source.

yep I opened the case with ebay for a return with refund, at first the seller did not want to do anything and basically told me to get lost I opened a case on him and then he replied and initiated a return to be followed with refund. After he received the item back, I got the message from ebay that the seller would be refunding the item. That was on the 30th March and was told in the message from ebay that the refund should be completed by the 8th April. ITS now past then and no refund , but all I am getting of of paypal is the refund is processing and and i can not escalate the case because as far as ebay is concerned and paypal a refund is in progress even though its gone past the date it was supposed to be sorted

and you can not get through to anyone on ebay to speak to you just get shuffled from one menu to the next thats why i am hear hoping someone could help me

Did you pay with Paypal funds, debit card, or a credit card. ?

If you paid with a debit card through Paypal checkout it will take 7 business days to go to your bank account. There has been a long Bank Holiday and a weekend ahead, so your refund may be a little delayed. eBay's esitmates it ' should' be there by the 8th is an estimate, they have no idea how long your bank takes to process funds. Check your bank account later on today
