This only happens to one certain item no matter what seller I try and buy of.  When I click on the "buy it now" button the below appears on a new page.

When I click on the place call it asks me to enter my password.  Firstly why ask for a password when I am already signed in and secondly why is this only happening for this item.  If I try and purchase anything else it does not ask me to validate my identity.

Guessing ... Knife/knives ?.   you will need to place a Credit Card (Monthly statement) on file to purchase ... an everyday use Debit Card will not be accepted.

Hello and thank you for your reply. It is an asic miner. Not sure why I would have to go through extra security for an item like this as it it computer components. Wasn’t sure if it was some type of scam as it says eBay will ring and give me a PIN number but when clicking on the link it asks forum password so seems a bit suspect to be honest.
