I need advice please. I guessed postage thinking it would be £2.80 . It turned out to be 85p .
I have a message from the buyer
saying 'Thanks for the doll, she arrived safely today and I am pleased with her. I noticed the package was posted as a large letter rather than the parcel rate I was charged for- I know this happens to me sometimes at the post office- would you mind refunding me the difference please? Thanks!
Is this right do I have to refund excess postage. It cost me petrol to get to the post office the envelope sellotape and bubble wrap costs money as well .
What do I do please?
You say you guessed, that is not good enough, it is simple enough to get postage right, and if so you would not have overcharged.
It is up to you whether you refund, but put yourself in buyers shoes, how would you feel.
