paying for the item

hi i won the bid on a motorcycle  so i went to pay for the item and when i tryed to pay with paypall it said my payment was pending so i contacted the seller and explained this and he said he didnt have a bank account / credit card attached to his account  he said e bay wanted to much information from him he sugested i cancel the payment and pay cash on collection   on checking he only has 7 sales against his name and has only been a member since 12 april 2021   does this sound well dodgey         any thourghts regards mike

In motors category, sellers do not & should not accept paypal.

You have NO ebay protection on these items anyway.

You go in person to see bike, inspect it & pay if happy, if not ask seller to cancel.

feel a bit better reading your reply was a bit worried because he has only just started on the bay and sid e bay wanted to much info about his bank account so basically is he a genuine bayer arted on e bay and he

Seller can't sell unless he adds bank account, but that is his problem, not yours.

As long as you inspect carefully before paying, you are OK.
