are you allowed to sell toiletries that are out of date. i bought some items and they are all out of date. the listing says the items are new and unused but how can they be new if out of date.
also the listing says they dont accept returns.. now i know why. surely this is not right. please advise
Open case for not as described, seller provides returns label, you post back for full refund.
Escalate after 3 working days if no label or refund, ignore seller excuses.
EBay requires that "Item descriptions must be accurate and not mislead the buyer".
Selling out of date items without mentioning this is obviously misleading.
if they're selling multiple items it sounds like a job lot of outdated stock, bought cheaply. Trying to pass them off as new without mentioning the date is mean and sneaky.
Open a money back guarantee case, but don't forget also to leave feedback to warn other buyers.
"New" would simply imply [in my view] "unopened and unused". If you are not happy with your purchase simply open a "not as described" case in the resolution centre [link below]. You do not have to justify this it is "your opinion" that matters. The seller will send a label to return and when you do will refund.
You can take a view as to whether these items would deteriorate after the date. I doubt there would be any safety issues
If no label sent then escalate the case to eBay. Do not enter into arguments/discussion with seller
Open a Not As Described Return, seller will have to provide a Reply Paid Return Label, and on return refund infull. If not you escalate to ebay. nvolved in argument
Do not get involved in arguments is with the seller, Ebay supports the buyer.
