Hi,
I have an email that looks genuine as it has the ebay logo and the correct formatting but it comes from a buyer email address. The message says that the buyer has placed an offer on one of my item but, when I log on the ebay website and look at the item, there is no offer on it.
If I use the link on the email to respond to the buyer, it goes on the ebay website but it shows that there is an error and I cannot go any further than just the first page.
What should I do?
Thank you
If there's a legitimate offer for an item, it will be on the web site.
Any email that contains a link for you to reply it will be bogus.
Why did you even click on this link?? I hope that you didn't enter your eBay password? If so, you need to change it immediately before your account is hijacked.
Surely you can't have missed the endless warnings about phishing emails? These will con you into logging in to a fake web site and giving away your password?
