I was interested by your question. I have never heard of a vinyl record being reported as counterfeit before.

Anyone can copy and countefeit digital recordings, but who would have the equipment to press fake vinyl copies? And would there be the demand to make it worthwhile?

I looked up the track you're referring to, and it seems to have a history of alleged bootlegging going back to the '70s, when both the master Motown copies went missing, see: https://www.soul-source.co.uk/articles/soul-articles/frank-wilson-the-story-of-do-i-love-you-indeed-...

Whether or not this continuing controversy is why your record was reported I don't know.

It would be wise not to relist it on eBay. Fair or otherwise, if you receive further report for selling counterfeits it could put your account at risk. EBay won't even attempt to investigate it. They once faced a class legal action for not acting on the sale of counterfeits, and won't hesitate to ban sellers rather than risk a repetition.

If it has been removed by ebay then you should not relist it as if removed again ebay may remove you.

If there are others on ebay then they have not yet been reported.

There is a report this item on every listing
