marking as paid

I have a customer from Spain who has paid me direct by PayPal in order to get the package sent cheaper.  I have marked the item as sent but cannot mark item as being paid.  I have doe this before but cannot do it this time.  Can I do it and how?

If the item was sold via ebay's Global Shipping Programme you should have cancelled the transaction and relisted with direct postage for buyer's country on the listing for them to buy again.

You could still do that but the cancellation would probably trigger an automatic refund and you risk the buyer not paying again.

Best thing is probably to leave it showing as unpaid.
