managed payments on eBay

Supposed to be easier for all. I have just sold a bike to a customer I have now to wait till the payment clears which can be 2 days or more. This is supposed to be better for who?I could have sent the bike the day it was sold now the customer will have to wait about 5 days for it when he would have got it the next day.

You send the item when eBay says the money is safe which may be a couple of days before it goes into your account.

The danger is that if you do not send it quickly it will arrive "late" by ebay's timing and the buyer may mark down your stars or even leave poor feedback

Why. Ebay show it as cleared you don't have to have it in your bank account.

Once buyer has paid you can see full details including address by clicking ORDER DETAILS. Before being paid it just shows the serial number of items you have sold, once paid it changes to an Ebay Number for the Order.
