is anyone having problems with there bank mine wants to know why there are small deposits going in

At the moment I have a current account the bank says I should have a business one I'm not a business here

Surely all you have to do is to tell them why?.

It is probably a good thing your bank is on the ball and noticed.

Just to add though. You are selling a lot of the same items and if you buy to sell or make to sell you are a business and should be registered as on on ebay. Perhaps that is why your bank is asking

The items I sell were found in the loft at our new house left there by the last occupier so have not been bought to sell so how is that a business

If that is the case then you tell the bank it is your own personal items and that you are not a business. What did you tell them when they asked?.

Yes I told them but they said I need a business account and that they can close my bank account at any time without telling me

Oh dear. There is something wrong there. Since managed payments on ebay many will be getting small payments into their accounts. Perhaps this is something that is going to happen but yours if the first I have seen. You need better advice than on here as we only deal with ebay problems and this seems to be your bank being heavy handed. You could try Citizens advice but the bank are right that if they think there is a problem they could close your account and you may have to declare that when you go to another one.
