automatic bidding is how ebay works,

you don't set anything up,

you just place your maximum bid, then ebay bids for you until you either win the item or are outbid.

This will take you to a full explanation of eBay's automatic bidding system.

You just place the highest bid you are happy to pay,  and then eBay do the rest for you.

Your bid will automatically go higher than the previous bid,  until your highest bid is reached.  You may well win it for less than the highest bid you placed,  but if overtaken you would then need to place another  higher bid,  if you wished to win the item
