good faulty after three months

I purchased a hoselock spray gun from a private sellar it was new in April. July it's now faulty and doesn't shut off. Contacted Hoselock as this product has a 5 year garentee and they said as I wasn't the original pruchaser they will not replace or repair it as it's only the original purchaser that has the guarentee. I have contacted the sellar they don't answer.

Hoselock say I shoule get a refund from Ebay. What do you think?

EBay's money back guarantee covers most items sold here, but only for 30 days after delivery. After that, they will not get involved, whatever the problem.

As your seller was a private seller, not a business, you don't have any statutory consumer rights either, so there is nothing you can do.

Buying through eBay is not like the shops.
