as a buyer how do i ask for an invoice

You have bought many items so I assume you know you receive an invoice from ebay when you buy the item

Why do you need an invoice?.

It is important to know so we can give best advice

When you buy an item the invoice is automatically sent by ebay

If you want combined postage then you ask before buying and wait before paying so the seller can send a new invoice

You shouldn't need to,  after purchase,  go right of the item in your Purchase History,  and click on the PAY NOW  then follow prompts through Paypal for payment.
