finding a member

how do i get to a members profile so i can message them?

i was  talking with them but as messages get deleted after a certain time im not able to find them in my inbox search feature.

the find a member in site map has changed, where before you'd type in their id and it'd take you to their profile, now all that has gone and if they havent sold anything in the last 30 or so days then it doesnt take you any further.

and the view members feedback in sire map just buffers then times out.. can only assume thats done on purpose by ebay!

ive exhausted all angles i know off.

Go top right of this page and click on Advanced next to the big blue Search.

On the left it is easier to click on Find by bidder,  add the username ID on right and click on Search.

Their profile will show,  and you will see the link to Contact member.

It does not take you to their profile when you do a search for their username in Advanced search... try yourself and you will see!

The advanced page is the same place it takes you when you choose FIND MEMBER in site map at the bottom of the page when you're in My eBay... before it took you to a page where it was straight forward and you found said users profile straight away, and it also showed you usernames which were very similar to the one you chose and where they lived in the uk and from all over the world....
