ebay taking my money

Ebay took £205 out of my bank account saying that my buyer asked for a refund reason wrong address of which he did not do or ask for.   I tried to stop this cockup by ebay using customer help. They did not understand that the buyer did not ask for a rebate of £205 nor did I.  I contacted paypal & my bank all did not want to know.  I contacted the buyer to sort this balls up he had no idea how this happened and was also being messed about by ebay as well with a new payment scheme.  He rebated me £105 that was all he could afford due to his cash flow being  totally mesed up by ebay.  I am still owed £100 but due to illness I am not getting any replies to messages I suspect he is going out of business so I am left out of pocket.  Which newspaper  do you recommend to help me. I have all the emails sent by ebay. all paypal payments and bank details of payments to paypal.

Instead of telling us what your buyer didn't ask for, if you had explained exactly what action they did take it would have been easier to help you.

I assume that they opened a money back guarantee case? If so, if you didn't respond within 3 days or couldn't provide tracking proof of delivery to the buyer's registered address a refund would have been automatic.

The fact is that whether your buyer wanted a refund or not, they must have initiated some procedure to ask for one. If their claim met the criteria for a refund eBay won't change this now. It's up to the buyer to refund you, if they wish to do so. You're lucky that they've returned at least half the payment. Many sellers have lost their money and their items to buyers who will exploit any opportunity to get something for nothing. EBay is a risky place to sell things.
