ebay inability to deal with technical problems

Having had repeated notice of attaempted unauthorised to my account I have tried to regisater for the ebay 2-step security via text messages. For four weeks I am repeatedly told that 'there is a problem' and to 'try again later''. I have been told that the fault or whatever will be rectified but nothing has changed. Am I the only one who is fed up with ebay's pathetic service?

If you mean you get message to say new sign in activity, then ignore it,

we all get these, I had one because I used a different device at home.

I never use 2 step security, others say it causes more issues.

2 step verification is very good...when it works but it often breaks down effectively locking you out of your account

So, it's so secure that even account holder can't access their own account! Way to go ebay.

basically yes.....Glyn had to contact Ebay CS to gain access to the account while they fixed the glitch

They text a code to your phone and you have to enter the code when signing in.   No code no access to your account.

Same with paypal.

Hi there and thanks for your comments. What really gets me is being told
multiple times that the 'problem will be dealt with' and weeks later, no
change with an obvious technical fault.
Clearly as we all know, ebay don't give a damn as long as they get
their growing fee charges. Why do we bother

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate that you're no doubt right about the
breakdowns but I wouldn't mind he chance to give the 2 step verification a
try, IF ONLY ebay would get their finger out and make the damn thing
accessible!
