I had an online conversation with an eBay rep because critical feedback I'd left for a seller has disappeared from his account details. I noticed, as well, that a pre-existing neutral comment from another buyer had disappeared. I was told that the feedback removal by an "eBay agent" was in direct conflict with eBay policy & would be reported but the feedback could not be be re-instated as that was impossible.
Now, usually after a conversation with eBay a little survey arrives asking about the experience. This didn't happen this time.
Knowing that some illicit dealings had been going on within eBay, however can I tell if this problem ever was reported? I have nothing in writing & the seller (who also sent a very rude email) is still happily selling with, apparently, only positive feedback.
Not only that but why on Earth can such feedback NOT be reinstated? As a buyer, I rely on the details of a seller's feedback & now this seller trades with faulty goods sold kept a complete secret.
