eBay payment handling fees!

I have just sold a £250 item using the "list till sold" for a fixed price of £19. The seller paid for the item via eBay and I have been charged £32 for the pleasure!? This is a ridiculous amount of commission for handling a payment transaction..... I haven't even recieved the balance as it is being held? Last time that was done the utilities companies were taken to court and told to return monies being hold plus the interest earned. I think this is a case for the financial ombudsman?

Offer for Sunroof was accepted today ... fees will be based on that accepted 0ffer price, not £19.00 >

Ebay charge 12.8% + 30p, so £32.00 is correct.

You sold an item for £19 and ebay charged you £32 fees?

That can't be right. Were there any other overdue fees which they have collected from you at the same time?

Go to your Seller Account on your ebay summary page under accounts tab, you will see a breakdown of fees there.

Failing that, to speak to ebay go to this link: eBay Customer Support and try the Call me Back or the Live Chat.

They are open tomorrow at 8am
