Sold a pair of speakers to a "Polish guy a few days back in perfectly good working order and stated pick up only so the day after the guy picked up he messages me back "in broken English stating in his opinion the condition of the speakers / sound isn't as good as stated BUT he was prepared to work with me to come to a satisfactory conclusion ARGHHHH .. NOTHING wrong with the speakers should have told him to take a running leap off a very high rocky outcrop. Wasn't in the mood for a case being opened against me I decided to give him some of his money back. The speakers sold for £30 but I gave him £15.00 as a partial refund so the final value fee when sold was £3.00 so seeing as I have had to refund half the money should eBay now take that into consideration and half the final value fee .. I know it's only £1.50 just thought I'd ask ... your thoughts please ?
This is the second time in a month I've been had over and both times by Poles and I don't mean the type those nice ladies dance around and I'm seriously considering stating in my listings from now on that I will only sell to people actually FROM this country eBay is full of scamming scumbags these days and it's getting worse and nothing is done about it and it's the sellers who get it in the neck you sell a good item the buyer then claims it's broken or not as listed then claims his money back which eBay give them AND they don't have to send back your item ABSOLUTELY bang out of order and you can't leave your buyer Negative feedback when they really warrant it because eBay doesn't allow it .. I don't know who came up with that little gem over at eBay but they need to retrieve their head from their rear end but as long as they are getting their fee from all the sales that's all that matters isn't it and what happened to the "chat app where you could get hold of someone and discuss your problem ... GONE eBay don't like being hassled these days it's just all about the money people's problems don't matter.... rant over 😉
Unfortunately this is the problem with accepting Paypal for collection items....
If you had said Cash On Collection the buyer could have done nothing...although in theory even with Paypal the buyer should have lost any SNAD case as with collectin they are supposed tominspect before taking away & people have been winning SNAD cases for collection items recently
Best bet is to list a silly high postage price....and add collection is possible but only cash on collection 1!
