eBay UK won't let me add a UK bank account without calling a US phone number

I am now set up for eBay managed payments but i want to use a different bank account, if I ckick on payments it says: 'Your payment information is not available on international eBay sites' and I have to click a link to the USA eBay site, then I try to add a new bank account and it tells me I need to call a phone number in America.

USA Registered account ... changing address to a UK Based location will not alter that ... contact UK Customer Services and request a transfer of the account registration to the UK site, then enter Bank details >

My account is in the UK, my address in UK and it's in UK pounds but it keeps doing this

Feedback profiles only show Based Locations = UK address changed ... (Not Country of registration) ... Clicking through your Items for sale / View listings links shows that your site of original Registration remains in United States and will continue to default to the USA rules and site regulations (ie. considered International seller) until you contact CS to request a transfer of your account registration to the UK site >

My account is already UK, it has UK address and all UK details, I am in the UK in pounds and it keeps doing this

transfer your account to the UK then upgrade to a business account,

because in the UK you need a business account to trade, private accounts are for unwanted personal items.

you are 'trading' you state in your listings that you have items 'in stock' therefore you need a business account!

Recheck ... Registered in the USA .com site therefore an International seller ... as advised , transfer the ? Business account to the UK site

I have an individual account, my question was just about adding a UK bank account, it didn't check my listings, it immediately told me to call a phone number in the USA, thanks for your advice about changing to a different account type but that wasn't my question thank you

No one is asking you to change to a different account ... You are Based in the UK ...your account is Registered in the USA ... simply transfer the account you already have to the UK site as advised = adding Bank account problem solved !.
