I sold an item and the winning bidder immediately messaged me on ebay and said theyre not paying and to cancel the sale.

I messaged back and recieved a barrage of abusive and racist messages, he also left me negative feedback.

I called ebay and spoke to an advisor who lodged my complaint and had the negative feedback removed.

Anyhow I relisted my item and it sold, I've just gone to pay my listing fees and noticed I'm still being charged fees for the unpaid item too.

I put an unpaid item dispute straight away.

So my question is how do I get the fee credits from the unpaid item?

I was going to call ebay but theres a waiting time of 57 minutes

Did you close the non payment dispute to get your fees back

If you did then ebay put them into your ebay account as a credit

They do not change the original invoice but the credit will be taken off the invoice so straightens out

To check if you received the credit go to the ACcounts tab on your MY ebay page then Summary then Credits to make sure it is there

When you open a non payment dispute you have to go back after 4 days to close it so you get your fees back.

Did you close the dispute?.

Yes the order was cancelled,
but theres no option for me to close the dispute, theres a green tick and it says order was cancelled.
I've put in an unpaid item dispute, but I'm unable to do anything else with it, maybe theyre waiting for the buyer to accept?

If the case says Cancelled with a green tick then have you checked to see if the credit is in your ebay account?.

Yes I’ve checked but it’s not in the account.
There’s no credits showing up

If there is no credit on your My ebay Account then the dispute is not sorted out or if it is then it was not sorted out correctly and you are left with the final value fees.

It all comes down to how you either cancelled or if you did a proper non payment dispute.

The non payment dispute you go back after 4 full days and close the dispute and get your fees back.

With a cancellation if the buyer does not accept it then you can close it after 10 days to get your fees back.

If you did open a cancellation and that is why you received dispute abusive messages then perhaps the buyer has not accepted it
The option to do either of theses does not show until exactly the 4 days or 10 days
It is very difficult to say when we can not see the disputes

This was 2 weeks ago this happened.
The buyer immediately contacted upon winning and said “I’m not paying cancel my bid”
I asked him what he was playing at and told him he’d have to cancel it himself, he sent a barrage of racist and abusive messages. I started an unpaid item dispute, he then left me negative feedback. I rang eBay and reported him and the racist message.
The advisor said she’d logged my complaint but are unable to tell me how they will deal with him.
Anyhow I’m guessing he won’t accept the cancellation as he was clearly an idiot.
I’ve spoken with an advisor online today and she’s requested I get the final value fees credited to my account.
So I’ll check again tomorrow and hopefully have this sorted.
