collection of items by e-bayers without feedback

Hi. Ive sold a Collection Only Item but the buyer has a 2 day old account with no feedback and its registered in Zambia.

He's contacted me to ask if a friend of his in the UK can come and pick it up and pay then, but TBH I feel a little unfomfortable giving my address to a complete stranger with no verifiable contact details just in-case there is an issue. Am I being paranoid or should I appoligise and cancel the order?

That would be great if the friend pays cash.

I think Im more concerned about someone 'casing the place' then problems with non payment as there have been a number or scams and a few break-ins in the area recently.

You did list it as collection only so someone has to come.

Yeah, and I dont have a problem with someone collecting it (I had some-one collect and item last week). My concern is that as they dont have a verified account I will have no idea who they are or ability to track them down if there is some kind of issue

Cancel from More Actions to the Right of the Item Select "Problem with Buyers Address."

Your Final Value Fees will be Credited back to your Seller Account. Relist. Ask for Cash On Collection. You can't Refuse PayPal but add CASH ON COLLECTION PREFERRED into the Description Field. You are much Safer with the Cash in your Hand.
