You should pay  up and sell on yourself

It wrecks the sellers listing and can cost them money if they have added upgrades or had to pay for listing

You can ask them if they would cancel

The seller does not have to cancel it and if they dont then they can open a non payment dispute

When they close the dispute you get a non payment strike on your account

Two or more non payment strikes and you will be unable to bid on many sellers items

The seller was charged the final value fees straight away when you bought the item and the non payment is the only way of being sure to get thier fees back.

Buying and not paying even by mistake costs a seller time wasted on the listing.

They also have to pay for any upgrades they had on the listing so lose  money

If it was a motor then they have to pay the insertion fees or classified ad fees and can not get them back

Also any other upgrades to their listing

• There is NO RIGHT OF CANCELLATION on eBay

• You can ask the seller, but they have already been charged fees & may have lost other potential buyers as a result of your actions so they may not agree

• If the seller was a UK registered business then you will have the right to return the goods by a tracked service at your own expense for a refund

• Bidding is a serious matter & changing your mind simply is not grounds to cancel

• It is likely that the seller will open an unpaid case to get their fees refunded & you would then earn an unpaid strike.......

• If that happened again within 12 months then many sellers will refuse to deal with you
