change business account to personal

Hi, A few years ago my account was hacked and listings appeared which were not mine, my account was also changed to a business account.

the hack was sorted and listings deleted etc, but i have never been able to amend my account back to personal, even after speaking with ebay they talked me through the process but the checkbox i needed was greyed out so couldnt be used.

Anyone had a similar experience or able to help?

That is a common tactic when an account is hacked.  I don't think the CS rep understood what you were asking as it it impossible to make the change yourself, only CS can do it.  You need to get back on to them.
