I sold an item for £4100, much more than I expected it to sell for, the winning bidder is in america, when she tries to pay she gets this error message ..
One or more of the items below can't be purchased because the total purchase amount exceeds the limit set by the seller
Please select a lower purchase amount. Consider buying a few items separately.
I have spoken to both ebay and paypal and both say there are no limits on my account and I should be able to receive the payment, the buyer has spoken to paypal and they have confirmed she can send that amount to me ... but she is still getting the same error message .... When I spoke to ebay this morning they said it could be due to my buyer requirements (doesn't make sense as she was able to bid on and win item) but he added her to my exempt list ... She still can't pay and is getting fed up ... Any ideas??
I have been a seller since 2006 and have good feedback as does the buyer ... TIA
You're not enrolled in the Global Shipping Programme and are sending it out via Pitney Bowes, are you? There are caps there.
If not, presumably you've invoiced the buyer for the item and shipping with full insurance to the US, and I don't understand why that should throw up this problem.
