blocking a buyer

Ive tried to block a buyer but the username comes up as not valid- yet they have made an offer on an item im selling- anyone know why this is as have never encountered this before- buyer is new and no feedback- thanks

Are you adding to your Blocked Bidder list correctly. That is ID followed by a comma.
