Hi community.

I placed a bid then realised it was collection only which I am unable to do. Does this happen often and is it usually sorted, I sent a message to seller (very recently) how long do I wait for a response as the sale finishes tomorrow with no other bids upto now.

Sadly it happens more often than perhaps it should!    The seller [if private] is under no obligation to cancel the bid.  

If you win then really you are expected to pay. If you do not then the selelr will probably do a non-payer case against you. One will not harm but with two you will be unable to buy from many sellers

If you use "help and contact" above and search "buyer retract bid" you will find what to do and the reasons that you can retract.  Not reading the full listing is not really one of the acceptable reasons though ...
