Hi all,
Hoping for some help with this:
1) Bid on an item yesterday (confirmed by email from eBay); 2) Received an email from aw-confirm@ebay.com tonight saying my bid had been cancelled (starts 'Dear eBay Community Member...), item number incorrect; 3) checked listing I thought it was (the one I had bid on) and no record of my bid or any reason for cancellation; 4) messaged seller and they claim don't even know how to cancel bids; 5) Regrettably clicked on link in email (wrong item number) but didn't log in via that route.
If the bid really had been cancelled is the cancellation email legit? Why the wrong item number and exactly how many of my passwords might I have to change? (Ebay, PayPal, email all on 2FA anyway)
