account has suddenly become American and only shows transactions in Dollars also my shipping is now only global and not UK

Make sure that you're logged in through ebay.co.uk, not ebay.com. If necessary, log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.

If this doesn't solve the problem it may be an eBay glitch. Several other users have reported ths ame problem recently.

The switch to US has been going on for a few days.   It's an ebay glitch but try clearing cookies.

eBay announced default global shipping  recently.   You can opt out.   The link for that is on the email or go to My eBay > Account tab > Site Preferences > Postage and Packaging Preferences > Show > Offer the Global Shipping Programme > Edit > Opt Out.
