Zero feedback buyer bidding on iphone

I listed a used iPhone and within a couple of hours received a bid but it is from a buyer with Zero feedback which makes me suspicious. I was going to cancel the bid but I thought I’d check first as to how to verify the authenticity of buyers and/or if they’re linked to PayPal. So how do you verify a buyer and is the recommendation to message the buyer too to try and determine if they’re genuine. Thanks

And what do you propose asking your bidder "are you genuine" and they will answer "of course not I am a scammer". Be realistic, you should set your bidder/buyer requirements to exclude most of the time wasters and scammers.https://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/buyer-requirements.html

Fraudsters are most unlikely to have a Credit Card loaded or have a Paypal Account. Commonsense also comes into it, any unusual requests should ring warning bells.

We all started at zero.

You MUST change postage method to RM special delivery, normal post only covers up to £20, RM won't pay out if there is a problem if you use wrong service, you can't change postage cost now you have bid, so will have to pay the extra yourself.

When you have a buyer, log in direct to paypal (not via link) check payment & address.
