Hi
We sold and sent an iPad LCD touch screen worth £79.99 to a buyer in Australia, when he received it he immediately opened a Wrong Item Sent case, lying that we sent him a cheap screen protector. This is probably the first Wrong Item Sent case in our 6 years of selling on eBay. We argued with the buyer back and forth on the case page, and he asked for an 85% discount in his last message. We think there is not much we can do to bring back his conscientiousness, as he wants to scam us for sure.
We have reported the buyer to eBay, and contacted customer service twice, but it seems not much help. Now we are in such a dilemma, as eBay buyer protection rules will force us to accept the return even we know that if he returns he will send back a screen protector, not the LCD screen we sent him. This is really frustrating...
indeed eBay will back the buyer.
just to say and everything else aside - as you never see the packing of the item for post, your buyer could be being truthful.
Simply because you are in UK and are shipping from China.
The buyer is totally a scammer. Among all our buyers he is the only one claiming we sent a different item with his flippant attitude. How could you say "simply because you are in the UK and are shipping from China?" That is really a stupid reason. All LCD screens sold on eBay are 99% imported from China. Even though some sellers sell them from the UK they get them from China first.
Firstly, we own an iPad LCD screen store in China. And secondly, my business partner packaged every single LCD screen himself! We have 100% positive feedback as a seller. There is no way we do stupid things to ruin our business!!
eBay will back the buyer simply because of the rules they set to attract more buers, not caring much about the interests of the sellers. You are not an eBay seller you will not know how easy it is for the sellers to get scammed!!
