Why does the 'item specifics' section on the quick listing form frequently go missing?

I often sell items that have detailed information in the 'item specifcs' section. This is very useful at a glance information but this section often vanishes for days or weeks at a time!

Ebay seem to be VERY slow to react to problems like this. Any numbers used in the heading becomes the default number for absolutely everything in the listing then eg - a bicycle with 12 gears - the number 12 is then the frame size and wheel size.

UK postal rates changed back in April so why are ebay still defaulting to the pre April 2016 rates in July? The postage has to be watched closely befor going live as this is also liable to default to something I simply have not put.

The item specifics issue and the ridiculous default changes affect many people but the clause is that 'seller assumes responsibility'. Ebay are responsible for these repeated issues.
