Why do Kudos have to be positive?

I accept that positive support (and positive criticism) should be recognised.

But if positive comments are recorded, then 'negative' - or opposing comments should also be allowed.

If a response to a posting is - in the view of the reader - unhelpful, misleading or completely wrong, it is not recorded.

Just like the ridiculous Facebook "like". 100,000 likes show,but 1,000,000,000 dislikes do not show.

eBay used to have a like/dislike option on the boards but they could be misused, especially when people didn't get the answer they really wanted.
