What to do when seller takes the money but sends no product?

Hi all

About 18 months ago I bought a product costing 300 us dollars from an apparently rosbust and much used seller on e-bay. The seller is very much active today.

I was sent no product. I have contacted them several times, at first they blamed the pandemic, but now of course I realise the seller is comitting fraud.

Not beeing in a hurry, I trusted that our correspondance would help me follow up the case, but now I do not even find these old messages on my profile anymore! I am not a very experianced user of e-bay.

1) How do I find my old messages?

2) How should I proceed in following up on the fraudulent seller?

Best regards to all-

What you DON'T do when a seller doesn't deliver the item you paid for is to wait for 18 months before doing anything.

You could easily have had your money back under eBay's 30 day money back guarantee, or if you paid by PayPal you had 180 days in which to use their buyer protection policy.

I'm afraid that it's far too late now to claim a refund.
