Voucher code CUK20, 20% off everything 31March 2016

Bought a patio awning, usual price £99.  Used Paypal.  Entered code CUK20, checkout price duly showed £80.  I completed the transaction, quite happy that I had saved 20%.  I checked my Paypal account later that evening to discover that Paypal had registered the purchase as £99 rather than the £80 that I had agreed to.  Checking with other Ebay customers who had used this code, it became apparent that everyone had been charged full price, despite agreeing to pay the reduced price.  What's going on?

Me too ....BUT just rechecked my transaction. PayPal transaction still shows full amount but the payment is split . It shows an eBay voucher of " x" amount  and a bank payment of " y" ( discounted amount ) ,

Wondering if this is because eBay and PayPal are now separate companies ...
