I sell only in the uk and post myself at Royal Mail.confussed over the email of  opt in/out vat . How does this change affect me????

I received same ebay message, it seems you have to fill out papwork when posting items abroad where buyer has paid VAT, if not done correctly, seller may have to pay again.

You can't do this at PO, has to done on Royal mail website or packlink.

TBH. I don't really understand it either.

Ebay will opt you into GSP even if not in it now, so you can either stay or opt out again,

wait until ebay message you again.

As far as I am aware it does not affect you at all. I don't know what opt in/out you are refereing to but YOU ARE NOT A BUSINESS so you are not registered for VAT, so how can you opt in or out. You don't collect VAT and you cannot reclaim any VAT you pay.

You don't sell overseas, so any comlications there again don't affect you.

If by any chance you are refering to Global Shipping then again it does not affect you but OPT out.
