VAT deregistered

I am a small business and no longer registered for VAT - when this happened I tried very hard to update my account to reflect I was no longer VAT registered without success. 

I have just tried to relist an item and am told I cannot relist or list anything until my VAT information is correct.  I have gone to my account and cannot find anywhere to update VAT information....

go to:-

my ebay >> account tab >>> site preferences >>selling preferences >>> manage VAT numbers

Great thanks - does anyone else find that an odd place? I would have expected VAT info to come under Business or Financial Information 😞

Well I've removed my VAT number and clicked that I am not VAT registered, but my relisting is still being rejected:

"It looks like there's a problem with this listing.
You are unable to list new items pending evidence of full compliance with your UK VAT obligations. If you have already provided a UK VAT number please check that it remains valid and that your company or First & Last Name details provided to eBay match those on your VAT registration. If you haven’t registered for VAT with HMRC, visit HMRC’s website here . Once you have registered with HMRC, provide your VAT ID to eBay here. This restriction will remain in place until you have updated or added your valid VAT details or otherwise provided us with evidence of compliance. Failure to comply with UK VAT Obligations may result in further action and restriction from trading on ebay.{e56186-1004475x}"

I suppose I'll have to phone them, once the phone lines are actually open 😞 😞

everything on ebay is in an odd place!

it's ebays heavy handed clamp down on VAT dodging,

you need to contact them
