Hello,
I created my eBay account a long time ago while still in Lithuania. After moving to the UK I was still using the account. Now is the first time trying to sell an item since January 1st and it says a 20% VAT will be applied.
It looks to me that the system is still using my old address back in Lithuania as the main one. I tried to change it in my profile settings but it only says I need to contact customer support to get it changed. And that leads to nowhere.
Anyone got any ideas?
USA registered account ... update your Address/account settings and contact UK Customer Services to transfer your account registration from US to the UK ... US link >
Changing your account settings | eBay
If a Seller is located and/or registered anywhere outside the UK (eg. USA registered account ?) ... it will trigger an additional 20% VAT import fee >
Paying tax on eBay purchases | eBay

Asyou say it still shows you as registered in Lithuania. It should not be necessary to ontact ebay, there is a Link to Change Your Country of Residence, which is needed not just your address.
