Can anyone explain in simple terms how a selling price of a Jigsaw of £12.95 has an overall final selling fee of £1.30 incl. VAT @ 20%.
No matter which way I work it out I cannot get £1.30
Normal selling fee before VAT is 12.95 x 9% = £1.1655 which would be rounded up to 1.17, if VAT is charged on this fee it would be £1.17 x 20% = 0.234 which wuld make the total final value fee £1.40 am I doing my sums wrong ?
It's driving me bonkers...I have tried phoning eBay but sometimes I just cannot understand thier explanations as I am a bit deaf and also they do not always speak clearly enough for me to hear properly.
