Unreasonable buyer

About two weeks ago I put an item on ebay and it clearly stated that it was collection only. Item sold for £6.50, I contacted the buyer to ask when he wanted to pick up the item. Buyer said he would get DPD to collect it. Item was collected but buyer said he had 't received it. Now it turns out buyer is living in Kenya. Because item still wasn't delivered I thought seen as it's the season of goodwill, I refund tbe £6.50 which I did. Now I just received a message from buyer asking what about the £15.90 he paid for collection. He then went on to say he wished I had thrown item away and he is going to lodge a complaint! How unreasonable is that!! I replied that he can complain all he likes, the item clearly stated "collection only" and it was his decision to spend money on a courier.
What more can I do?

For future reference - NEVER allow a buyer to send their own Courier. It leaves you wide open to claims of not received as YOU did not employ the courier, he has no responsibility to you.

Again for reference you should only refund through a case, you may find that if you look at your seller dashboard that you have a Defect. Only by refunding through a case can you avoid this.

He can complain all he likes ebay don't take any notice of justified complains so they are not going to take any notice. The one problem you might face is he can leave feedback.
