*URGENT* I purchased an item and the buyer has disappeared.

Hi, i purchased an item and the money has been deducted / pending from my bank account. I have heard nothing from the seller and now the item has been deleted. I cannot get into contact with the seller or ebay support and the money does not seem to have been refunded. What should i do?

Update: The seller has deleted the order and account no longer seems to be valid. No signs of a refund.

Only eBay can delete a seller's account who has been in a recent transaction,  you will never know the misdemenour that caused this.

You may still receive your item,  eBay recommend you wait 10 days.

If it then does not arrive put in a claim with Paypal.  On the left of your Paypal account,  select Resolve a Problem.  Open a case for itrm not received,  and enter that eBay have removed the item and seller from their site.

Escalate within 20 days for a refund.

Do not go back to eBay, when instructed,    stick with thr Paypal case,  and do not forget to escalate.

Thanks, this is very helpful but if the item has been labelled as deleted and whenever i go to view it i get taken to the homepage as if my purchase never exists, how to i know that the sale of the item was legitimate to start with?

eBay have removed this seller, so you cannot claim with them. Open this case with Paypal, details will be there for the transaction.
