Took all my items off after i found 2 very sneaky underhanded methods by eBay

Well here we go....i had about 20 items for sale using buy it now and i noticed eBay hides the best offer section under a drop down which i thought was sneaky so i made sure i unchecked best offer before posting but the best is yet to come....

After a few days i sold a couple of items but still had the majority up for sale then a few days later i noticed something a little odd, my items all had a best offer price all of a sudden.

eBay had changed all my items and added a best offer even though i unchecked it when i posted.

Surely this is baring on illegal?

Goodbye eBay, i took all my items off and will not be using eBay again to sell anthing.

Whatever difference does it make, you don't have to accept any offers, but if you use the quick listing form ebay will add best offer. Ebay assumes that if you use the quick listing form you need decisions made for you.

Rather silly not using ebay for such a trivial reason. Did it lose you any sales?? Did it cost you anything??

If you want full control use the Advanced Listing Form or Seller Hub.

Looking at what you were selling it is perhaps just as well, as you were selling Prohibited items which would have been removed if reported.

not illegal

ebay reserve the right to add best offer to any listing they think is overpriced or not selling as quickly as they would like

youi agreed to this when you signed up to sell

what is against the rules however is selling steam account items through ebay, so it is a good thing that you have removed your items

Ebay won't miss you as you were selling digital items, which is against ebay policy,

so you were likely to be banned anyway.

FYI. When listing with quick tool, best offer is added as default.
