To close or not to close

The seller has finally offered me a full refund after several days of discussion.

They have now asked me to close the (Item not received) case BEFORE they  send a full refund of over £100 but such is the loss of confidence in the seller I am worried that if I close it they will renege on their promise and Ebay don't reopen closed cases.

Is what they're asking normal procedure.I don't see where it says that on Ebay.I also want to leave feedback and hope that's not affected when a case is closed.

Can anyone advise me ?

No don't! You will never see the Money. You don't have to deal with the Seller. Ignore him and carry on with your Ebay Case. Ebay Guarantee your Refund.

Nooo   !  Do Not Close the Case Early!

Once closed,   another cannot be opened with eBay,  and the seller cannot be forced to act on a ' promise'.

So inform them you are following eBay rules,  and will let the case run the full 8 days, and   if not refunded within those case details within that timeframe,  you will be escalating the case to eBay on days 9 - 21 .

eBay then take over and force the refund.

You will be refunded 100% ifyou follow through with that case.  You are not guaranteed that refund,  if you close the case early.

Why are you dealing with the seller

You do not close a case as once you do you will not get your refund and you can not open another case on ebay

You want all your money back

If you have already opened the dispute then you go back after a full three days and escalate to ebay to get all your money back
