My first time selling attracting 15 bids but the successful bidder has not contacted me and ignored my messages. I'm so disappointed that I am about to give up and sell for a much lower price locally.
Whether you give up on eBay or not, you need to get your selling fee credited back to your account by using eBay's procedure to cancel unpaid items: https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Announcements/New-cancel-function-for-unpaid-items/ba-p/6939127
It's bad luck to get a non-payer for your first sale. There will always be non-paying buyers - and non-selling sellelrs - on eBay, but if you decide to stay you will find that they are a small minority.
Frankly, if anything should put you off selling here it isn't non-paying buyers, it's how childishly easy eBay makes it for buyers to defraud selllers, and the almost total lack of support eBay gives them when this happens.
if they fail to pay read this -

on day 5 you can cancel with buyer did not pay.
