Strange code in customers address

Hi all

Has anyone else had a strange code appear in their customers address?

I have had two recent customers for which I have printed the usual packing slip to post and noticed that just under the street part of the address it has an 11 digit code?

EG: ebayq4*****.

It certainly doesn't appear to be part of the address and the customers don't know it's there until I tell them.

Another glitch?

It's appearing on my packing slips. I don't use RM pre paid postage systems, I use stamps. If it is for tracking purposes then why stick it in the middle of the address. It must also be a recent addition as I only noticed it over the last few days and got no notification that they had changed anything!

Do you take the address from ebay.

I just wondered if it only appeared on there

I always use the paypal address and dont buy ebay postage and up to now it has not appeared on my addresses

Thanks redwick1. I do currently only print my docs from ebay. The code also starts with "ebay" before the other digits so I assume it is only on ebay. Perhaps I should look at doing it your way as it may be more reliable.
I just get frustrated when they make changes without telling us and the don't give you the option not to use them!

I always send to the paypal address and most on here would advise members to do that.

if you use stamps you have to remove the code manually

I've just tried that pixiesen2012. I edited the packing slip and deleted the code.
But then when I pressed to "print the packing slip" it came back on the print preview and it won't go away!

It appears on all labels generated for RM postage.  It's meant to supplement tracking.
