I've listed a kitchen unit for sale with the word 'värde' in the title. It's the name used by the maker (IKEA) for this piece of furniture. Although most sellers don't bother with the umlaut (¨) over the 'a', I assumed that searching using 'värde' or 'varde' would retrieve items with both spellings. I was wrong!! Searching for 'värde' does find items with both spellings, but searching for 'varde' only finds items with that exact spelling. I'd call that illogical - or am I missing something? All comments welcome - especially from eBay's search engine software people!
